Otoshimono (Lost Property) by Miyamoto Kano

Otoshimono
Hashimoto was walking home when he finds Takanashi waiting outside his apartment, looking depressed and having no place to go in this story Otoshimono. Finally, Hashimoto allows Takanashi to come into his apartment where he listens to him complain about his boyfriend's abuse and his fear of being fired for his sexual preferences. After a few drinks, Hashimoto allows him to stay the night, but drunken discussions lead to sexual encounters and he wakes up the next day with Takanashi lying naked next to him and the feeling that none of his stories were true. So what was the "Lost Property" in this story? Seriously, where was it? Is it Hashimoto's lost "virginity" of never before having sex with another man? Or did he lose his mind when he invited a stranger into his house? That must have been it.
The story was cute, but I didn't understand the characters actions at all. First, Hashimoto has a bad feeling about Takanashi, thinking that he might be a drunk or a burglar, but he still invites him in. Why? If I have a bad feeling I'd stick to my gut feeling and leave him out in the cold. Not to mention, Hashimoto is immediately creeped out when he finds out Takanashi's sexual preferences, yet, as  soon as he gets drunk he finds him attractive. How is this realistic? Unless he was just hiding his own sexuality, but the readers don't get the character growth from within the story. There is no background on the characters' relationships at all. Takanashi says that he would watch Hashimoto and wish to talk with him, but we as the readers don't see that development. The plot reminded me of a porno where all its used for is to lead to the sex scenes; its absolutely boring and pointless. I give this story a 3.0/10.
